Music at St. Mary's Church
St. Mary makes an important contribution to Lübeck arts and prides itself as being part of the rich culture of music in Schleswig-Holstein, honoring the tradition of organ music. St. Mary Director of Music, Johannes Unger, trains and conducts our esteemed Capella St. Mary, and is an accomplished organist, every sunday playing the famous Kemper Organ installed at the cathedral. Music is central to the life of St. Mary Cathedral, which has a growing reputation as a venue where many famous choirs and individual artists perform.
