The most wonderful time of the year is coming very soon. So take a look at our Advent and Christmas events!
We are particularly pleased to welcome you to the Advent light service on Monday, 24 November at 4:30 p.m. in our St Marien Church. Afterwards, there will be a torchlight procession through Lübeck's old town to the Holstentor, where we will count down together and switch on the Christmas lights in Lübeck city centre. And for all the children: afterwards, we will continue on to St Petri, where St. Nicholas will arrive high above from the church tower
NEWS FROM ST MARIEN
For 800 years, St Marien has been a place of worship for the citizens of Lübeck, where they celebrate church services and other city events. It is here that people find hope and form their identity.

The church is open 365 days a year: for you and all those seeking God. Lübeck's council, merchant and citizens' church is a place for worship and prayer, art and culture, discussion and conversation, volunteering and commitment. For Lübeck, its people and for the glory of God.
INTO THE FUTURE
Following the reconstruction of the church 80 years ago, a major renovation is now underway. The windows, paintings, masonry and temperature control are just some of the extensive tasks involved. You can find all the information about this major project on our blog.

NEWS FROM THE CHURCHES IN LÜBECK CITY CENTRE
The churches in Lübeck's city centre, built in the Romanesque and Brick Gothic styles, not only shape the city's skyline, known as the Stadtkrone (city crown), but also the cultural life of the city's society. Strong traditions have their place here: music, seafaring, spirituality, art and liturgy, worship culture and diaconal commitment. An incomparable diversity, shaped by the people of Lübeck. With plenty of space and joyful anticipation for enthusiastic supporters.
