Christoph Stumpf has been an honorary pastor in Lübeck since 2025. Born in Regensburg in 1972, he studied law and theology in Bonn, Vienna, Tübingen, Munich and Oxford after graduating from high school in Rothenburg ob der Tauber. He received his doctorate in law in Munich and his Doctor of Philosophy in Theology in Oxford. Since 2000, he has worked full-time as a lawyer, primarily in Hamburg and Schleswig-Holstein. From 2021 to 2024, he completed his voluntary vicariate in the parish of St. Gabriel Haseldorf-Hetlingen. He is also an adjunct professor of public law at the University of Halle-Wittenberg.
Christoph Stumpf is an honorary member of various committees of the regional church, including the member of the foundation board of the 7Türme+ foundation appointed by the church leadership of the North Church. He lives with his family in Elbmarsch region and Lübeck-Travemünde.
