Group visits in the church are possible during the regular opening hours

Please note: Due to upcoming renovation work, visits will be possible until October 3, 2026. After that, the church will be closed until spring 2027

Up to 10 people: €5 per person
11 people or more: €4 per person

with pupils under the age of 18 (including accompanying teachers):

Guided church tours for groups
Minimum €60 up to 10 people, €6 per additional person,
nursery and school groups (see above) €2 per person
Tower and vault tours
for school groups | €6 per person

Dear tour operators and group leaders,
You are welcome to use vouchers to speed up the checkout process.
To do so, we need a few details from you in advance:
- Date of your visit
- Number of people (adults/children)
- Name of the group leader or person in charge
- Billing address including email address
- A signature
Please bring the voucher with you on the day of your visit and hand it in at the ticket office.

Important note for trips from autumn 2026 onwards:
From October 4, 2026, the church will be completely closed until spring 2027 due to upcoming renovation work. Unfortunately, visits to the church will not be possible during this time.
Information for educational institutions
Did you know? If you visit St Marien as a school class or nursery group, no MarienTaler (maintenance fee) will be charged. This also applies to accompanying teachers.
We also offer different tours for nurseries, daycare centres, school classes, vocational and university courses, depending on the area of interest (either just the church or the church with towers and vaults). Various focal points (e.g. topics covered in class) can also be set by arrangement.

Request a special tour
If you would like to visit the church not just "for the sake of it", but also want more in-depth information as part of an individual guided tour, we offer various options.
From a general tour of the church to a tour of the tower and vaults to tours with special thematic focuses, there are many possibilities.
